An exhibition bringing together the leading medical bodies in the UK and Republic or Ireland to celebrate women leaders in medicine.
‘Women in medicine: a celebration’ runs at the museum of the Royal College of Physicians from 03 October 2017 to 19 January 2018. The exhibition and permanent portrait collection are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Admission Free. Please check the website for planned closure dates and exhibition events.
‘Women and medicine: a celebration’ is part of a wider project, led by the Royal College of Physicians, to mark 2017 as a milestone in the history of women in the medical professions. Honouring the contribution of female clinicians today and over the past 150 years.
Featuring many women in medicine, FSRH’s Current President, Dr Asha Kasliwal, president, Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare is also featured in this exhibition.
The exhibition is supported by a website providing biographical information on all the featured women in medicine. It will go live to coincide with the opening of the event and can be found online here.
