General vacancies for group membership – FSRH/BASHH Integrated IT Group

Two opportunities have arisen to join the FSRH/BASHH Integrated (IT) Group. The FSRH/BASHH IT Group looks at a wide range of IT issues affecting Sexual and Reproductive Health services in England, Scotland and Wales.
The FSRH/BASHH IT group aims amongst other objectives to recommend strategies for IT implementation, data collection and reporting for the spectrum of Sexual and Reproductive Health services. The group is looking for two enthusiastic people to be part of the team.
The successful applicants would be available to attend the FSRH/BASHH IT Group meetings (three per year) and be key members of the team to help with development and shaping of future group activity.
Our other key objectives include:
• To advise on the type, quality and format of information to be collected from Sexual and Reproductive Health services for the purposes of national audit, public health monitoring and monitoring of service performance.
• To liaise between DHSC, HSCIC, PHE and other stakeholders regarding information issues to achieve best outcomes for both patient and public health.
• To receive and respond to queries and concerns from members relating to IT and Information Governance, including data protection and confidentiality rules.
• To anticipate problems relating to IT and Information Governance from new legislation, commissioning or other changes that affect Sexual and Reproductive Health.
