Below we outline some temporary changes we have made to our Letter of Competence (LoC) entry requirements.

As part of the planned launch for our new FSRH Training Hub we are launching an Online Theory Assessment (OTA). Candidates will need to pass the OTA as a pre-requisite to complete our LoC qualifications. The OTA will also form part of our redesigned Diploma (DFSRH).

As this is not yet available, we wanted to ensure that candidates are able to progress with their LoC journeys during this transition period. We have decided that the regulation of the OTA entry requirement will be relaxed.

This means that LoC candidates who:

  • start their practical assessments between 1 October to 31 January will not be required to hold the OTA at entry. They must pass the OTA by the end of February 2021 to successfully achieve their LoC qualification.

  • start their practical assessments from 1 February 2021 onwards will be required to hold the OTA at entry

This is a temporary change to our regulations and will not be extended. We hope this helps both trainers and candidates to progress with their LoC journeys during this transition period.
