Help the FSRH achieve its mission – stand as a Member/Fellow representative of Council

It is a challenging and exciting time for the FSRH as we work to support our vision ‘Better care, a better future’. Council, comprised of elected FSRH members and nominated external representatives, plays a key role in shaping and overseeing the work of the Faculty. It is the FSRH’s 25th anniversary this year and we are looking at what we have achieved and looking at what we are aiming to achieve by 2025.

At the AGM in June this year, two of the six elected Member/Fellow representatives of the Council will come to the end of their terms. Therefore we have 2 vacancies for Member/Fellows to stand for election to Council (which is a voluntary role). This would be a for a 3 year term starting at the end of June, renewable for a further 3 years. Council meetings currently take place on a Thursday during the day three times a year, in addition to these meetings, there are other opportunities to support FSRH’s work as a member of Council.

To stand for election

Please complete the nomination form (below) including signatures from three current Members or Fellows to support your nomination. Please also include a short paragraph (no more than 300 words) to support your application and return a scanned copy via email to execassistant@fsrh.org or send via post to the address below to ‘Jane Hatfield’. This must reach the FSRH offices not later than 9am on Friday 20 April 2018.

When the nomination period has lapsed, if the number of Members/Fellows standing for election does not exceed the number of vacancies a ballot will not be held and the members nominated will be elected. If the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies, a list of candidates, together with ballot forms, will be sent to all Members and Fellows with a ballot paper and an election will be held.

You are most welcome to contact Jane Hatfield, CEO via chiefexec@fsrh.org if you have would like to discuss standing for Council.
