The ESC has opened applications for funding to support an individual, group, institute or organisation with a project related to the aims of the ESC.

The ESC was founded in 1988 in Paris. Through its work, the ESC aims to:

  • Improve and facilitate knowledge and use of contraception, abortion, sexually transmitted infections and reproductive health care in the countries of Europe.
  • Promote the harmonisation of different policies concerning contraception and reproductive health care in the countries of Europe.
  • Promote availability of all methods of contraception in the countries of Europe.
  • Carry out epidemiological and sociological studies and other types of research on contraception and reproductive health care in the countries of Europe.
  • Encourage relations between the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health and other appropriate organisations in Europe and throughout the world.
  • Share knowledge and experience of contraception with countries outside Europe.

Project applications should meet the following minimal conditions:

The ESC will provide funding to support an individual, group, institute or organisation with a project related to the aims of the ESC. Examples include: research, needs assessment. The money MUST be used for a definite project within a definite time period, usually 3 years.

  • The applicant must be a paid-up ESC member
  • The grant may be used to support an individual, group, institute or organisation with a project related to the aims of the ESC.
  • Applicants should be Europeans. However, a European applicant is allowed to submit a project that will take place outside Europe.
  • A maximum of 10,000 euro per project application can be requested
  • Examples of projects include: research, needs assessment

Course applications should meet the following minimal conditions:
The ESC will provide funding to support a regional or local course or meeting related to the aims of the Society.

  • The applicant must be a paid-up ESC member
  • A maximum of 5,000 euro per course application can be requested
  • The grant may be used to support a regional or local course or meeting related to the aims of the ESC.
  • Applicants should be Europeans. However, a European applicant is allowed to submit a grant for a course that will take place outside Europe.
