We are delighted to report that FRSH member Nicola Bailey, who is a representative on the Faculty Nurse Member Task and Finish Group, was awarded an OBE for services to healthcare in Northern Ireland in the King's New Year's honours list. Huge congratulations to Nicola for this honour, which is testimony to her commitment to high quality SRH services.

Nicola said: “It is a great privilege to be awarded this honour, especially for doing something I am driven and energetic about. It was always my dream job to work in women's healthcare and tackle inequalities. 49.5% off the world's population are women, services should be made readily available for each stage of a woman's life.

Women should know that nurses, doctors, and all who work in sexual and reproductive healthcare, are doing their upmost to drive direct services for what women require.

For everyone working in sexual and reproductive healthcare, to those who have come before me leading the path, for those currently working who our trying to improve and development services for those coming behind us. I will do my upmost to strive for services and this honour goes out to all them as well."
