Type: FSRH News and Information

The International Affairs Committee (IAC) is recruiting a General Member.

The International Affairs Committee (IAC) aims to support sustainable international projects to promote the aims of the FSRH outside the United Kingdom. It also promotes FSRH membership and its benefits beyond the UK. The IAC currently has a vacancy for a general member, and is seeking someone with an understanding of current global health issues and experience of developing and delivering contraceptive education and e-learning and other educational interventions to a wide audience.

Applicants are not required to have previous experience on an FSRH committee, though experience in a committee or working group is desired.

"Becoming a member of the IAC provides an opportunity to gain experience of working with the Faculty. It enables active involvement in shaping the excellent work of the FSRH internationally to improve healthcare delivery outside the UK. It is both challenging and exciting and I would urge anyone with an interest in international healthcare delivery to apply."
Dr Nicola Morgan, IAC member

The successful candidate would be expected to attend the IAC committee meetings (four per year) and actively contribute to the work of the IAC between meetings.

In 2017 and 2018, the IAC intends to carry on its outreach work, and develop sustainable contraceptive educational initiatives.
