Type: FSRH News and Information
We are looking for a doctor with specialist experience in delivering vasectomy care to become our FSRH Vasectomy Guardian.
This opportunity is open to FSRH members who are General Medical Council (GMC) registered doctors. This is a voluntary position that will enable the candidate to contribute to the development of our educational offer in vasectomy.
The Guardian will assist us with the recruitment of a Vasectomy Training Working Group which will help to support the review and redevelopment of our current educational offer in vasectomy. The aim of this group will be to ensure that the qualification, training, or courses we offer in vasectomy are fit for purpose.
We currently offer the Vasectomy Special Skills Module (SSM) to doctors. The qualification is now being reviewed to ensure that it meets the organisational aims and objectives set out in our vision and our strategic plan. To complete the review and redevelopment of this specialist qualification, and widen the scope and reach of our training, a Vasectomy Guardian who is an experienced specialist is required.
The role is unpaid and is an excellent opportunity to influence and support the delivery of vasectomy across SRH services and general practice.
