We are delighted to announce that Gary Waltham has joined us as our new permanent Chief Executive, and welcome him to the FSRH. We look forward to working with him over the coming years to realise the ambitions in our 2020-25 strategic plan.

Gary joins us after working for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) for six years, where he was Executive Director, Education, Quality and Projects. He led on developing many new products and services, including the recent digitisation of examinations, and oversaw the successful tendering of a number of funded commissions to deliver national programmes in women’s health.

He also led the relocation project to move the RCOG to new premises in 2019. Prior to working at the RCOG, Gary spent 15 years working in postgraduate medical and dental education, for the former London Deanery and then Health Education England.

His past experience means Gary already has an in-depth understanding of medical colleges, medical education and women’s health. He also has an MSc in Human Resources.

On his appointment, Gary said:

“I’m delighted to be joining the FSRH at such an exciting time. The core mission and values of the Faculty, as well as the professional diversity and expertise of our members place our organisation in a unique space to enable better sexual and reproductive healthcare for all.

I look forward to working with the FSRH team and our exceptional membership to deliver our ambitious strategy and develop the organisation over the coming years.”

We’d like to thank our outgoing interim CEO, Federico Moscogiuri, for his work and commitment over the past six months.
