FSRH updates advice guide for women seeking contraception and abortion during the second wave
Date: 27 Nov 2020
Type: Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

We have updated our guidance for women who need to access contraception, abortion and other forms of sexual and reproductive healthcare during the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our advice to all women is that they should access care when they need it, notwithstanding the levels of Covid-19 infection in their area. Women should initially not attend a clinic in person, but rather make contact by telephone or email.
Our updated advice includes new information on menopause services as well as updates on contraception, abortion, and emergency removals of long-acting reversible contraception.
The advice also contains useful links for women in all regions of the UK, to help them access further advice and care.
Members are encouraged to share the advice with their patients and with their local communities. You can find the new advice guide here.
