Type: FSRH Consultation Responses
FSRH feeds into the Department of Health’s review of Public Health England, looking into its performance and effectiveness, efficiency and governance.
In this response FSRH recognises where Public Health England has successfully fulfilled its functions in so far as they relate to sexual and reproductive healthcare commissioning and service delivery, whilst also identifying areas for improvement. Overall, our feedback underlines that Public Health England should more efficiently optimise and prioritise sexual and reproductive healthcare to support the wider health and care system, as well as improve the way in which it supports and develops SRH commissioning through more stringent lines of accountability and formal enforcement powers.
