Type: FSRH News and Information

The FSRH General Training Committee is currently recruiting for two doctor members.

The General Training Committee (GTC) is a committee of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH). The GTC oversees and ensures the quality of the FSRH’s Diploma and Letters of Competence. In 2016 it took on the responsibility for SRH Essentials.

The General Training Committee (GTC) comprises a chair, subgroup leads, doctor and nurse members, and representatives of other organisations and FSRH committees.

Two vacancies for doctor members have recently arisen. Ideally the committee is looking to fill at least one of these positions with a clinician from a primary care (GP) background.

Being a FSRH Registered Trainer (FRT) is not an essential requirement but some interest and experience in medical education is desirable.

Members are requested to attend 4 GTC meetings per year which are held in London plus an annual conference. On average there is approximately 2 hours of preparatory work in connection with attendance at each meeting. The term of office is usually 3 years.

Please see the terms of reference and job description for further details on the Committee webpages.

To apply please complete the online application form. The closing date for applications will be 30 April 2017.
