FSRH Committee Vacancies: Get involved with our Clinical Effectiveness Committee

The FSRH Clinical Effectiveness Committee (CEC) is recruiting for two vacancies: one e-SRH representative and one general member.
The FSRH's Clinical Effectiveness Committee is responsible for overseeing FSRH’s Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU), which works to promote evidence-based clinical practice. The unit has four main work streams: evidence-based guidance and NICE accredited guidelines (including the review and update of the UK Medical Eligibility Criteria); members’ evidence requests; new product reviews and clinical audit/research.
The committee also liaises and works collaboratively with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and other professional organisations on issues of clinical practice. In addition, the committee prepares briefings for FSRH Council on emerging issues at the forefront of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH).
Below outlines the roles and responsibilities of each vacancy:
General Member
The Clinical Effectiveness Committee (CEC) is looking to appoint a new member to the committee. The successful applicant will be a practicing healthcare provider with interests in SRH and family planning. The appointed member will be expected to attend the FSRH CEC meetings and the committee’s subgroup meetings with the British National Formulary. The committee meets three times a year, twice in London and once in Edinburgh. Please note that all committee meetings will be held virtually for the foreseeable future.
e-SRH Representative
The Clinical Effectiveness Committee (CEC) is looking to appoint an e-SRH representative to the committee. The e-SRH representative will support the regular review of the content of eSRH modules. The successful applicant will be a practicing healthcare provider with interests in SRH and family planning. The appointed member will be expected to attend the FSRH CEC meetings and the committee’s subgroup meetings with the British National Formulary. The committee meets three times a year, twice in London and once in Edinburgh. Please note that all committee meetings will be held virtually for the foreseeable future.
