Posted 16 December 2020

Date: 16 Dec 2020

Type: FSRH News and Information

It’s a very exciting time for the Committee, we have just completed our first ever virtual conference and are now looking towards 2021 and how we can work differently to produce innovative and successful events for our members and delegates. We are looking for three new members, following terms coming to an end.

About the FSRH Events Committee

The FSRH Events Committee is responsible for ensuring that our conferences, webinars and events meet the professional development needs of our members and other delegates. In addition to providing learning and networking opportunities for delegates, we also seek to raise income from our events, which we can reinvest in member services. The Events Committee reports into FSRH's Council.

What does being part of the Events Committee mean?

Committee members will help lead the development of our events programme (supported by staff and external events companies). Committee members will also get involved in chairing and/or presenting at our events.

Being on a FSRH committee offers a number of benefits:

  • Using your SRH skills in a different way
  • Being part of a team of committed SRH professionals
  • Developing a deeper understanding of FSRH's work
  • Building your network
  • Gaining experience for your own CPD
“Being in the Events Committee not only helped me personally develop in my CPD, organisation and interpersonal skills, but it also enabled me to make friends and learn from other SRH providers all over the country.”

Anyone with an interest in sexual and reproductive health can apply, we would particularly welcome applicants who work in the following roles:

  • Pharmacist
  • Midwife
