We have several vacancies available for our Events Committee.
It is an exciting time to join the Events Committee (formerly the Meetings Committee). We are developing a new Events Strategy, to ensure our conferences, webinars and events meet the professional development needs of our members and other delegates. In addition to providing learning and networking opportunities for delegates, we also seek to raise income from our events, which we can reinvest in member services.
Committee members will help lead the development of our events programme (supported by staff and external events companies) which is expanding in 2018 to include regional events. Committee members can also get involved in chairing and/or presenting at our events.
Due to terms of office ending, we are seeking up to 6 new members. In particular we are looking for members from the following backgrounds to ensure we have a range of members contributing to our programmes:
- Speciality & Associate Specialist (SAS)
Joining a FSRH committee can help you raise your profile and can contribute towards your own CPD. It is a voluntary role, travel expenses will be covered.
Applicants are not required to have previous experience on an FSRH committee, though experience in a committee or working group is desired.
The successful candidate would be expected to attend the Events committee meetings (three per year) and actively contribute to the work of the Events Committee between meetings.
