Type: FSRH News and Information

Below are some new activities we are developing over the coming months to help support our FSRH trainers more effectively.

Following extensive consultation, the FSRH Regional Training Advisor role ends from 1 January 2020. As we plan to launch our new FSRH Diploma and Learning Management System in spring next year, we’ve been looking at ways to better support our FSRH trainers.

Activities in development from 2020 will include:

  • Two hours of online learning on educational techniques
Free for FSRH Registered Trainers (FRTs) / General Programme Training Directors (GTPDs). Developed annually to support FRT recertification, they can be accessed anywhere, anytime.

  • Four regional FSRH trainer meetings per year
Held in a range of UK locations, these will facilitate trainer networking where you can share ideas, tips and best practice.

  • An online community forum to support General Training Programme Directors (GTPDs)
This online forum will be hosted on our new learning management system (coming in 2020/21). GTPDs will be able to ask questions, share updates and connect online.

We will share more updates on these resources later this year.

In the meantime, did you know?

Trainers and members interested in medical education can also access resources from the Academy of Medical Education (AOME) and the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE).

Trainers can access this information by logging into the FSRH website and navigating to 'My Resources and e-Newsletters' behind log in.
