It is such important work to increase the standing of the SRH workforce and to make possible the achievement of consultant status for those few individuals who make the huge effort to complete a CESR application process.
When the GMC receives an CESR application, it asks the FSRH Equivalence committee to review the application. A panel from the committee members is made which consists of 2-3 individuals who assess the application.
If you are interested but feel uncertain about your competence to do it then please be assured you will be supported, we can and will arrange training (from the GMC), the panel works together as a team and reaches a consensus on the recommendation and any associated advice. It is a lot of work to read the documentation, however it is also incredibly interesting and rewarding.
