Attend the launch of the report of the Inquiry into Access to Contraception
Date: 24 Aug 2020
Type: All-Party Parliamentary Group on SRH

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK (APPG SRH) will launch its report on access to contraception, 'Women’s Lives, Women’s Rights: Strengthening Access to Contraception Beyond the Covid-19 Pandemic', from 2pm – 3.30pm on Thursday 10th September.
The report will contain a dedicated section on access to contraception during the Covid-19 pandemic, and will make recommendations for restoration of services following the first stages of the pandemic, alongside recommendations addressing systemic issues in contraception provision which existed prior to the pandemic. Members of the APPG look forward to hearing responses to the report from senior health officials and members of government.
The Inquiry opened in 2019 in response to concerns regarding fragmented commissioning, a lack of accountability and cuts to the public health budget. It reopened this summer in order to take account of the impact of the pandemic on access to contraception.
You can register to attend the launch here. Places are limited, so please register only if you know you will be able to attend.
The APPG is also excited to host the Advisory Group on Contraception, who will be sharing headlines from their survey of service users' access to contraception before and during the pandemic.
