FSRH's Annual Scientific Meeting is taking place in Brighton Monday 20 & Tuesday 21 April, we have 20 fully funded bursary conference tickets available. Deadline is 20 January 2020.

The FSRH is pleased to be able to offer 20 fully funded bursary conference tickets (for the 2 days – 20 & 21 April) for FSRH's Annual Scientific Meeting. To apply for a bursary place you will be asked to write a short statement (up to 300 words) and how you hope it will benefit your work/studies and your practice (if relevant). The deadline is Monday 20 January 2020.

What are the criteria?

Applicants should:

  • Be doctors, nurses, or others working in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare
  • Be individuals (including students) interested in sexual and reproductive healthcare/contraception
  • Be working either a student, or full or part-time in the NHS in primary and/or secondary care
  • Not be able to secure funding to attend the ASM from other sources

We are looking to encourage SRH healthcare professionals to submit abstracts for the oral/poster competition, so we will look to award some of the bursaries to those that are intending to submit an abstract. You will be asked if you intend to submit an abstract on the form. Read about our oral/poster competition and how to submit an abstract.

How to apply

The application form (download via the link below) will ask you to submit the following details:

  • Your main contact details
  • 300-word summary about why you would like to attend and how it will benefit you personally and professionally to attend.

Send the completed application form back to Jyoti Parmar via eventsmanager@fsrh.org by 23.59 on Monday 20 January.

How will I be selected?

Our FSRH events committee (comprised of healthcare professionals) will review all applications that are submitted by the deadline and notify you of the outcome of your application by email by Friday 14 February 2020. If you are unsuccessful will still be able to secure early bird prices for the conference until Friday 6 March 2020.

If the number of applications vastly exceeds the twenty bursaries we are offering, we reserve the right to randomly select twenty bursary winners from all those that match the criteria.
