Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2024 - applications for bursaries are now open!

We are pleased to offer a limited number of bursaries for our Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2024. The bursaries cover in-person tickets only and not virtual attendance. To apply for a bursary place you will be asked to write a short statement (up to 200 words) on how you hope it will benefit your work/studies, and your practice (if relevant). The application deadline has been extended to Wednesday, 5 June 2024.

What are the criteria?

Applicants should be:

  • Healthcare professionals, scientists, early career researchers and others working in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare (SRH) with an interest in research and quality improvement. Applications are encouraged from UK and international professionals.
  • Be working either as a student, or full or part-time in the NHS in primary and/or secondary care and/or in a higher education institute.
  • Not be able to secure funding to attend the ASM from other sources.

We encourage SRH healthcare professionals to submit abstracts for the oral and poster competitions and will look to award some of the bursaries to those intending to submit an abstract. You will be asked if you intend to submit an abstract on the application form. Read about our oral/poster competition and how to submit an abstract.

How to apply

The application form will ask you to submit the following details:

  • Your main contact details.
  • Your job title/role
  • 200-word summary about why you would like to attend and how it will benefit you personally and professionally to attend.

How will I be selected?

The ASM Event Delivery Group (comprised of healthcare professionals) will review all applications submitted by the deadline and notify you of the outcome of your application by email by Wednesday, 12 June 2024.

Terms and Conditions
a) Please note if you have already booked your conference place, you can still apply for the bursary place, and if your application is successful we will refund you the full ticket price.
b) If you are awarded a bursary place but are not able to attend the conference, there will be a £75.00 administration fee which will need to be paid directly to the FSRH within 30 days of the conference.
c) The FSRH will cover the cost of the conference ticket but please note that accommodation and/or travel must be self-funded.
d) If you are awarded a bursary place we will contact you to ask you to write a short blog post about the conference.
