The ACCEA 2019 National Awards round is now open

The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence is accepting applications to the 2019 awards. Consultants and academic GPs working in the NHS in England and Wales can apply for new awards and renewals.

Applying for FSRH/RCOG support of your ACCEA application
For the FSRH to progress Member and Fellow applications for FSRH/RCOG support in line with the ACCEA deadline, the application paperwork must be completed and submitted to the FSRH by the following deadlines:

  • The Platinum Awards deadline 9am, Thursday 21 February 2019
  • The Gold, Silver, Bronze Awards deadline is 12pm, Friday 1 March 2019

The FSRH supplementary application form can be found at the bottom of this page. Please send your completed documents directly to execAssistant@fsrh.org by the stated deadlines. Applications for support received after the deadlines cannot be considered by the panel.

All applications for support are considered by a RCOG Panel with FSRH input. This Panel will make its decision based on the strength of the consultant’s ACCEA application and their contribution to FSRH/RCOG work. If your application is supported your citation will be added to your record on the official ACCEA website.

Please be aware of the statutory limit (implemented by ACCEA) on the number of applications that the College is permitted to support. (Information on this is noted in the ACCEA guidance.

Please note you will need to put in a renewal application if:

  • they received their current award in the 2015 round
  • their award was last renewed in 2014 (awarded in 2010, 2005, 2000)
  • if there is a change in job or a significant change in job plan as awards are reviewed earlier
