Join us for an empowering half-day event dedicated to menopause care for all. The event aims to address the physiological, emotional, and psychological changes that occur during menopause. You will also explore and learn about the unique experiences of underrepresented groups during this life transition.

Developed by clinicians for clinicians, this programme has been developed by leading experts, focused on practical tips and take-home messages. We have also added plenty of time for Q&A.

09:40 – 10:20: Addressing the challenges of menopause management in women with a history of hormone dependent cancer.
10:20 - 11.00: Navigating menopause at extremes of age – premature menopause and use of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) into older age.

11:10 – 11:50: Alternative Methods to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and Lifestyle Approaches.

Dr Vikram Talaulikar Dr Vikram Talaulikar is a Specialist in Reproductive Medicine at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Hon. Associate Professor in Women’s Health at the University College London. He graduated in medicine in India in 2003 and completed postgraduate degree in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2007. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and completed PhD degree at St. George's University of London in 2016. His clinical interests include reproductive endocrinology, polycystic ovary syndrome, recurrent miscarriage, premature ovarian insufficiency, and menopause. He is a certified ‘menopause specialist’ by the British Menopause Society. He has published widely in Reproductive Medicine and Menopause. He is a member of the British Fertility Society, European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, British Menopause Society, and International Menopause Society. Vikram runs a busy menopause and PCOS clinic at UCLH and Menopause Clinic London on Harley Street. He is a Principal trainer for FSRH Menopause SS module and a trainer for BMS principles and practice of menopause care programme. |

Dr Ulrike Sauer Dr Ulrike Sauer is a Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, working in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. Beside that she enjoys working in a menopause clinic in London, has a special interest in medicolegal work and has -by obtaining the certificate for culinary medicine - combined her love for health and food and the approach to healthcare, based on the emerging discipline of lifestyle medicine. Her journey started in Germany as obstetrician and gynaecologist. She completed subspecialty training in Enfield in 2012 before she was appointed Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in Brent and later became lead consultant for the integrated sexual heath and community gynaecology services in South London until 2020. She is actively involved in teaching in her current role, enjoyed organising and teaching in the past as a member of the European expert group of sexual health and education and Chair of the FSRH Events Committee. |

Paula Briggs Paula Briggs is a Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Health based at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust. She is Chair of the British Menopause Society. Paula qualified from University of Glasgow in 1987. She trained as a GP before moving to Liverpool in 1993 and worked in General Practice and Sexual Health until 2012. She is now devoted to delivery of women’s health care, research and education. Her main interest is menopause management with a particular interest in urogenital atrophy. She has co-edited 3 books, co-written an undergraduate textbook in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a revision guide for MFSRH, a book specifically for men about female hormones and recently co-authored a book on contraception for the lay public. She has also written a patient booklet on menopause (second edition). She is married with four children and enjoys golf, reading and cooking. |
