Join us at our half-day SRH hot topic event series, where you’ll gain access to the latest updates in the world of SRH and women’s health.

Menopause is one of the most significant events in a woman's life and brings in a number of physiological changes that affect the life of a woman permanently. The topic is now receiving more attention and discussion, focussing on the symptoms that appear before, during and after the onset of menopause.

Our half-day hot topic event, held online, gives you the opportunity to learn more about the impact menopause can have and discuss approaches to manage this. We’ll take a closer look at menopause management, contraceptive options and managing menopause and mental health.

Claire is the Deputy Director of the new CEU team leading on nursing and midwifery engagement & education and also quality assurance of clinical content of educational and guidance products. She is currently leading on the development of the new Progestogen-only Pill guideline.


Claire is an advanced nurse practitioner in Sexual and Reproductive Health working clinically at Chalmers Centre in Edinburgh.

After graduating from King’s College London medical school in 1999, Laila gained extensive clinical experience as she practiced and trained in teaching hospitals both in the U.K and U.S.A.
She completed her General Practice training in London and gained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2007. She has a special interest in Women’s Health and is a Diplomat of the Faculty of Reproductive and Sexual Health.

Laila has compassionately helped thousands of women to reach their optimal health and hormonal balance by offering them the most up to date, unbiased and individualised treatment options. She has extensive experience initiating and managing women on both regulated and compounded bio-identical hormone therapies.


In December 2019 she became a specialist in the field of hormone replacement and balancing by becoming a Board-Certified member of the American Academy of Antiaging and Regenerative Medicine. She is one of only three doctors in the UK to have this qualification. This qualification entails an in depth understanding and knowledge of the use of hormones in achieving symptom management in menopausal women as well as their use in prevention and treatment of certain chronic diseases.


Laila is a leading expert in the field of menopause. Her years of experience and extensive post graduate training has given her a unique insight to the management of menopausal conditions.
