The  BASHH  Genital Dermatology  PLUS Course organised by the British Association of Sexual Health & HIV (BASHH) Genital Dermatology Special Interest Group will be held on Friday 21 June 2019 at the  National Council for Voluntary Organisation (NCVO), Society Building, 8 All Saints Street, London, N1 (10 minute walk from Kings Cross station).

By the end of the course attendees should be able to:

Knowledge:

  • understand the pathophysiology of common genital skin diseases
  • have additional knowledge of common genital skin conditions and challenging cases
  • be aware of skin manifestations of HIV/AIDS and genital manifestations of systemic disease
  • have an advanced knowledge of pigmented genital lesions, their presentation, diagnosis and management
  • have additional knowledge of oral manifestations of genital skin disease, perianal skin conditions
  • have an understanding of vulval precancer/cancer and the aetiology & management of vulvodynia

Skills:

  • be competent and feel comfortable in diagnosing and managing genital skin conditions and be confident in referring appropriate cases to the dermatologist
  • optimise care pathways for patients through improved links with local dermatology services
