FSRH Contraceptive Counselling Online Course
This free online course supports all healthcare professionals across the globe to deliver effective contraceptive care. Engaging and interactive, the course features a range of case studies, video content and additional reading resources. It also includes a discussion forum which enables you to contact your peers also taking the course.
The course is in English and takes just 2 hours to complete. You can stop and start at any time.
This course has been designed by the doctors and nurses of FSRH’s International Affairs Committee.

How will I learn?
The course will take up to 2 hours to complete. It can be accessed at any time and you can return as often as you like.

Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights for any FSRH qualification including documents, materials and content belonging to and produced by the FSRH should not be used for purposes other than FSRH training. Should you wish to use any of the IPR for purposes other than FSRH training you must seek the FSRH’s approval in writing with your request via our copyright request form. This course is for healthcare professionals that provide, or have an interest in, contraceptive care. You can be based in the UK or overseas.
You will be asked to self-register, instructions are provided.

What internet browser will I need?
On a desktop PC or laptop, we advise you use Google Chrome if possible. If not, Firefox or Internet Explorer versions 8 – 11 are best. Safari will work for Mac users but not on Windows.
On a phone or tablet, Google Chrome is optimal for Apple and Android, but for a Windows device you will need to use Internet Explorer.
We advise you use the most up to date version available of your chosen browser.
Will I get a certificate?
You will receive a certificate of completion if you access the learning via the online learning management system (LMS) where you are required to register, login and complete the course. This allows the system to monitor and track your progress.
If you access via the FSRH website without logging in we cannot track your learning and you will not receive a certificate. The course is the same on the LMS and on FSRH’s website.
Do I have to do the course all at once?
You do not have to do all the learning at once. If you access via the LMS your learning will be tracked and you can return to it at any time. If you access via the FSRH website (no login required) you will need to monitor your own learning. The course is the same on the LMS and on the website.
You can also access the learning after you have received a certificate of completion to revise and top up your knowledge.
What happens with my data?
How can I give feedback?
The course on the LMS includes an evaluation form that you are required to complete to gain your certificate. You can also provide feedback via the link provided on the website and through the discussion forum.
If you access the course via the FSRH website (not the LMS) you can provide feedback by the short online survey available. You can also joint the discussion forum to share your views.
