Entry Requirements

The content of Essential Contraception for Abortion Care Providers is specific to the needs of counselling women for contraception after abortion. 

To be eligible to register on an Essential Contraception for Abortion Care Providers course, you must be an Abortion Care Provider registered with the NMC.

Our course has been designed specifically for Abortion Care Providers working in a variety of settings.

Learning

Essential Contraception for Abortion Care Providers is a half day course to help you develop the skills and confidence to consult with patients about contraception.

Interactive and practical, the course uses a variety of activities to cover these topics, including scenario-based learning, presentations, time for discussion, questions and role play. Essential Contraception for Abortion Care Providers is not a competency-based course and it is not assessed.

Attendees will be provided with a workbook, which contains supporting documents for use on the day and for future reference.

Attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance following the course.

Fees
