Julian Hogan Marie Stopes

 

Julia Hogan has worked in sexual and reproductive health for the past 16 years and is the contraceptive nurse consultant for Marie Stopes UK, where she leads on post-abortion contraception delivery and training, and in tandem, works as a nurse trainer in an NHS sexual and reproductive health service. Julia has a Diploma in Tropical Nursing and is a non-medical prescriber, holds letters of competence for implants and intrauterine contraception, has the diploma in SRH and is a faculty registered trainer.

Julia is the nurse representative on the International Affairs Committee of the FSRH, which has included the development of a Counselling for Contraception ‘MOOC’ to be used in low resource settings. Julia has been on the new diploma working party, written exam questions for the FSRH eKA

online assessment and is a committee member of the ‘Essential contraception’ training programmes. Julia co-wrote the new eLFH implant e-learning, due to be launched shortly.
