Dr Michelle Cooper is a final year Obstetrics & Gynaecology registrar in East Scotland, with subspecialty interests in Sexual & Reproductive Health, Abortion Care and Menopause. She has authored the StratOGÒ module on Postpartum Contraception and has contributed to FSRH CEU guidelines on Intrauterine Contraception and Drug Interactions. She is a current Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, undertaking a PhD focused on improving access to postpartum contraception. As part of a research team in Lothian she has been involved in establishing one of the first immediate postpartum intrauterine contraception (PPIUC) services in the UK.
