Brad Sewell is a Physician Associate with a joint post across Primary Care and Sexual Health. He completed his MSc in Physician Associate Studies at Swansea University Medical School in 2020. Brad supports the GPs in his primary care role by seeing his own clinic of undifferentiated medical problems- with a GP available for support where needed.
In sexual health, he is currently completing his DFSRH and has begun to develop his GUM skills by conducting supervised consultations with his consultant supervisors. Previously, Brad completed his BN(Hons) paediatric nursing degree at the University of Southampton and had a brief role in specialist public health nursing, completing a health promotion masters module at Surrey University.
Alongside his clinical work, Brad is also completing a research study with Swansea University exploring Physician Associate education. He also contributes to some teaching sessions on the PA programme at Swansea University, as he hopes to develop his educational role in the future. Brad is keen to network and promote the Physician Associate role, particularly in the fields of Primary Care and Sexual Health; he hopes his research, clinical and educational roles will continue to develop and evolve the PA role in these areas.
