Wales Committee
The objectives of the Wales Committee are to:
- Co-ordinate and work with BASHH in Wales
- Share good protocols and good practice across Wales
- Highlight areas with gaps in SRH services
- Provide professional support for SRH senior clinicians.
Key achievements in 2018:
- Organised successful Annual Scientific Meeting in Cardiff July 2018
- Held a Stakeholders Roundtable November 2018
- Successfully lobbied for home use of misoprostol in TOP
- Worked together with WAG, PHW and BASHH amongst others on the Review of Sexual Health Services in Wales
- Held 2 national audit meetings together with BASHH Wales
Objectives for 2019
- To continue to work together with WAG, PHW and BASHH on the Sexual Health Programme Board to produce a range of documents which will help to improve SRH Services in Wales
- To jointly organise an ASM in North Wales July 2019
- To jointly organise 2 national audit meetings with BASHH Wales in March and October
- To continue work with the cross party group in WAG to improve abortion services in Wales
- To continue to work with PHW to improve data collection in SRH services across Wales
- Follow up on the FSRH Welsh Stakeholders Roundtable to promote the FSRH Vision in Wales
