Northern Ireland Committee
The objectives of the Northern Ireland Committee are to maintain and promote high standards in medical education in SRH; promote SRH patient wellbeing by close links with O&G and GUM services; and influence to establish a province-wide SRH consultant post.
The Northern Ireland Committee’s key achievements in 2018 were:
- No further progress with NI consultant. Work in progress
- All Trusts in NI using Lilie computer system
- Up to 10 GP trainers have indicated they will sign up as instructing doctors
- Course of 5: - 8 participants in November 2018, successful course with positive feedback
2019 Objectives:
- Continue to lobby department to fund a consultant
- Encourage doctors working in S&RH to become instructing doctors
- Plan for another course of 5 in November 2019
- Engage with colleagues in GB following Vision launch
