The FSRH Diploma (DFSRH / NDFSRH)

The FSRH Diploma is aimed at doctors (DFSRH) and nurses (NDFSRH) who are already working in general practice, community and integrated sexual health services.

Letter of Competence Intrauterine Techniques (LoC IUT)

This Letter of Competence is accredited by the RCGP and the RCN Centre for Professional Accreditation. It is open to doctors with both registration and a licence to practise with the UK GMC and nurses on the nursing part of the UK NMC register (excluding RN Level 2).

Letter of Competence Subdermal Implants (LoC SDI)

This Letter of Competence is accredited by the RCGP and the RCN Centre for Professional Accreditation. It is open to doctors with both registration and a licence to practise with the UK GMC and nurses on the nursing part of the UK NMC register (excluding RN Level 2).

e-Knowledge Assessment (eKA)

The Faculty’s electronic Knowledge Assessment (eKA) assesses a candidate’s theoretical clinical knowledge. We are introducing it to a number of our training qualifications where a ‘pass’ is required before beginning the clinical stages.

Membership Exams

Membership of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare of the RCOG (MFSRH) is a recognised qualification in sexual and reproductive health care. It is held by clinicians who provide expertise in community, primary and acute care.

Specialty

Community Sexual and Reproductive Health is a six-year run-through specialty training programme for doctors.

With the cessation of new appointments into the SAS grade in April 2008 (with the exception of regrading existing Staff Grade posts to Associate Specialist if expression of interest was lodged by 31st March 2009), we have reviewed the recommendations relating to appointments in sexual and reproductive health services (SRH).

Equivalence

The Curriculum for the new specialty of Community Sexual and Reproductive Health has been approved by the Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PMETB) now merged with the General Medical council (GMC).
