The CEU was formed to support the Clinical Effectiveness Committee of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and to promote evidence based clinical practice. It is funded by the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and is currently located in the Sandyford sexual health service within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. There are 4 main workstreams:

• Development of evidence based guidance
• Member’s Enquiry Service
• Development of new product reviews
• Clinical audit / research
